I became an NASM Certified Personal Trainer in May 2012 after taking some time to figure out what I wanted to do with my life. I have always been passionate about health and fitness, so becoming a trainer seemed like the perfect thing for me to pursue. I went on to get my Corrective Exercise and Fitness Nutrition Specialist certifications over the past two years.
I started my own personal training business, fabYOUlous fitness, in September 2012 and began working at a studio where we specialize in women over 40. Women over 40 are spectacular to work with. The goal is to help women become consistent with their workouts so that they can live long, active, healthy lives. The workouts take place in a private, intimidation-free personal training studio.
Why Hire a Personal Trainer?
Accountability
Making an appointment with a personal trainer for your workout is a great way to stay on track.
Consistency
Treating your personal training session like you would any other appointment on your calendar helps you establish a routine that will begin to feel “normal”.
Safety
A personal trainer will design your workout based on your needs and/or limitations. Each and every exercise will be taught and then watched for the correct form to help minimize the risk of injury and maximize benefits.
Success
The definition of success is: the accomplishment of an aim or purpose. That definition will vary for each individual and can range from becoming more active to building stronger bones to completing a marathon.
